The Brookwood Bullets opened up the season much like the way they won the Classic Tournament a few weeks ago, convincingly!! Going into the weekend, the Bullets were very familiar with their opponents, Page Concordia, whom they played and defeated in the Classic Tournament finals. Much like the first 2 meetings, Brookwood came out strong and ready to play. Showing a very intense press defense, the Bullets were able to get some easy baskets off turnovers and didn’t look back.
Leading the team in scoring was Reynard Robinson with 25 points, shooting 11 for 21 from the field. Following right behind Reynard was Kamal Spinsby with 14 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Big men Daniel Fisher, 12 points, & Abdul Kamane, 10 points, combined for 18 rebounds and 6 blocks. Cyrus Senior chipped in with 10 points and 4 assists, six of those points coming from the free throw line, going a perfect 6 of 6.
After what looks to be a great start to the season, Brookwood gets back to action in a couple weeks, playing against Sun Youth Hornets in their first home game of the year. Game is February 21 at 3:15 pm sharp at Riverdale High School
